The Discovery projects light through a color wheel and onto a rotating disc reflector with mirrors positioned in a cone shape. The light is then focused through an optical lens to create a cone effect of light beams, each beam chasing the other while continuously changing color. The beam angle is effect full with a wide projection (i.e., 4 meters of distance equals 4 meters of projection radius).
The Discovery provides 13 dichroic colors + open and, like its stablemates, is totally self-contained, reacting in time to the music without the need for external control signals.
