Martin Professional and Full Sail, Real World Education, a school of entertainment technology based in Florida, U.S.A., have announced a partnership in which both companies look to benefit from the others expertise.

Full Sail, whose motto is "We Take Your Dreams Seriously," offers degrees in recording arts, film & video, digital media, game design and show production, and has decided to equip their extensive state-of-the-art facilities with Martin products for their new Show Production and Touring program.

Full Sail has already received everything from the latest profile spot, the MAC 250, to the highly successful MAC 500 and 600 MACnificent Team, as well as controllers, scanners (including the new Pro 918), fog machines, Imagescans, followspot software and more. It is the wide variety of Martin products which attracts Full Sail to Martin.

In return, Martin will benefit from being alligned with a highly prestigious and successful entertainment technology school with a reputation for high standards and state-of-the-art education techniques. Additionally, Martin looks to create more awareness in the U.S. market for its products and the ability to have young people, who are the future lighitng directors and designers, become familiar with the products before embarking on a career.

"An ideal showcase in which to display the most advanced lighting products on the market"

"For Martin, the new relationship means an ideal showcase in which to display the most advanced lighting products on the market," states Martin Sales Director Pio Nahum. "The extensive Full Sail facilities, as well as their reputation for dynamism and excellence, fits in well with the Martin image."

We have a lot in common, not the least of which is our commitment to obtaining the best suppliers in the industry. Full Sail knows quality and professionalism when they see it and they are dedicated to providing their students with the best equipment available. The fact that they have chosen Martin is proof of our leadership position. We’re proud of this partnership."

Martin will also have access to the Full Sail facilities for training purposes and plans on moviing its Martin University to the school. Martin will use the facility to train personnel, distributors, dealers and end-users in all aspects of their products.

Domestic as well as international seminars will be held on the Full Sail campus. "This not only benefits us but will, in turn, help to better educate the market as a whole," said Nahum. Martin will be a part of Full Sail on Tour road shows, a five vehicle educational and promotional fleet which travels across the U.S. giving on-site educational and product presentations.

Full Sail’s location in Orlando, Florida is also ideal for both parties as it is close to Martin USA’s headquarters in Hollywood, Florida. The geographic proximity is convenient for Martin personnel and Full Sail can be assured of immediate technical support.

Additionally, the area’s reputation as the "capital of high-tech show-biz" and the fact that LDI holds their exhibition in Orlando every other year were also contributing factors in the decision to team-up with the entertainment technology school. At LDI exhibitions, Martin plans on using the facilities for distributor seminars, conventions and new product presentations.

Full Sail, on the other hand, will benefit from a partnership with the most progressive lighting company in the world, a company that stretches across the globe which can offer a comprehensive range of lighting products for show-biz and other entertainment applications.

Full Sail can also look forward to the opportunity of being associated with top lighting designers and some of the leading people in the intelligent lighting industry who currently are using Martin products daily. With over 300 Graduates per year who plan to obtain a degree in "Show Production," this offers a unique opportunity for Full Sail graduates to immediately be placed in jobs throughout the industry.

"Our customers call us every day looking to hire qualified lighting, sound and video production personnel. Full Sail graduates will have a tremendous opportunity to be immediately placed in positions," states Eric Loader, Managing Director of Sales at Martin US.
